Springtime is beginning which means a frantic weather season, including tornadoes and earthquakes. These have been common occurrences recently as seen on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Many are starting to wonder if they should be concerned about the drastic and consistent weather changes across the states.

Earthquakes

Earthquakes have been pretty common on the East Coast in states Such as New York and Philly. But it was sited that an earthquake took place in New Jersey which is a strangely uncommon place for an earthquake. It's common to have aggressive weather in the springtime for the states but recently it has taken an unusual swing. These earthquakes are not necessarily a reason to panic since they only seem to present themselves as small and for a short period. However, it is unusual for the numerous quakes that have occurred in the last couple of days. Earthquakes are caused by shifting in the earth's plates, this sounds alarming considering the earthquakes aren't that big the plates aren't moving that much.

Tornados

Tornadoes form when the weather changes drastically from cold to hot or when high wind levels mix with the weather change. In the springtime, it is a high alert for the midwest since the spring is “tornado season”. This primarily affects the midwest since wind levels are higher in this area as earthquakes occur more on the coasts because the shifting is going to be more impactful in those areas. About a week ago there was a major tornado warning for the eastern midwestern states which showed high wind levels and a good chance for a tornado sweeping through. It is very likely that the earth shifting could have an impact on tornados which could lead to a hectic spring for the Midwest.
